2010-05-17 192MBメモリに lxubuntu [長年日記]

_ 古いPCの再生にチャレンジ。

TOSHIBA Satellite2270 を再生すべくちょっとやってみました。

流行り？のubuntuでは重そうなので、lxubuntuをインストール。

_ インストール

CDブートで簡単にインストール！！ほとんど放置でおしまい。

_ 表示。

表示がやっぱり800x600になってしまうので、過去の日記の通りに変更して1024x768になりました。

_ 無線LAN

コレガのPCMCIAカードをなんの設定もなく認識。

暗号設定をして接続。簡単完了

_ ダイエット

初期起動・サービスとも不要なものを停止。

ubuntuとは違って、ほとんど選択項目無し。

_ で、再起動

起動は、それなりに早う。Core2Duo・1GBメモリのWindowsXPより早いぐらい。

_ でも、早いのは・・・・

快適なのは起動だけ。FireFoxを動かすとスワップ発生。

複数ページをタブで表示させると、HDDが回りっぱなし。

ブラウザをmidoriにしても一緒。

・・・立ち上げるだけじゃ、再生にならない・・・orz
