仕事場にてＦｓを想う(2005-07-29)

_ [仕事] 頭が痛い

なんで、頭痛が仕事ジャンルに分類されるのかというと、昨夜は事務所近くのホテルにＣＭがお泊りなために晩御飯を二人で食すはめに。で、彼の説法を聞きたくないために焼酎をがぶ飲みしたらやっぱりやられました（汗）。

という言葉が本当にあるかどうか少々疑問ではあるが、その場合には和製英語ということでご容赦を。技術営業やっていて、一番気をつけないといけないのが、「だろう」「かもしれない」「きっとそうだ」で仕事をすること。反対の言い方をすれば事実をいかに知るかということが重要なわけですな。

今日は東北方面へ出張だったのだが、客先担当者からＣＭに直接日程変更の依頼メールが来た。それもＣＭのみで我々にＣＣはない。

普通なら、次のアクションはＣＭから我々に電話が来て、私と客先担当者で調整に入るところだが、彼は独自に客先担当者と日程調整をつけてしまった。その後に私とＦ氏を呼びつけてこう仰る。

「これはな、担当者がお前ら（＝私＋Ｆ氏）を信用してないからこういうメールを寄越してくるんだ。だいたい、私に直接メールしてくるっておかしいと思わないか？しかもお前等にＣＣもつけていないんだぞ。これは、お前らの引継ぎ（この仕事はＦ氏から私に引き継がれたもの）がうまくないから、相手の不信感を買ったというサインだ。ここは一流の会社だから、こういうやり方をやるんだぞ」と。

だけどＣＭは、客先担当者に確認したわけでもなく、自分の野生の勘を信じて判断している。ゲスワークをやっちゃいかんなぁと思いつつ、客先担当者に電話してみたら「すみません、メールを出す相手を間違えました」ときたもんだ。どうやったらメールを出す相手を間違えられるのか分からないが、事実としてはそういうことだ。少なくともそんなことで色々細工をしてくるような担当者じゃないことだけは分かっている。

「俺にメールが来るってことは、俺に助けを求めているか、俺じゃないと話にならんからだ」そうな。まぁ、そう思うのもいいでしょうけど、ゲスワークはいかんと常日頃おっしゃっているのはＣＭ殿なんですけどねぇ。

_ [ＣＭ日記] 技術者として

いい方のことも書いておこう。やっぱり、技術者として先見の明とか、斬新なものの見方とかは、ＣＭは優れている。これが、昔は野生の勘と連動して大きな推進力になっていたわけである。

昨日も、自分がおろそかにしていた点を２点ほど指摘されて反省。こういうことばかりなら、彼が上にいる価値があるんだけどなぁ。ただ、先輩としてならともかく、上司という立場は勘弁して欲しい。難しいものである。

_ [仕事] I氏を待ちつつ仕事

大阪〜和歌山〜愛知と巡業してきたI氏を待つ。到着予定は２１時ぐらい。一緒に晩御飯を食べる予定

ＣＭが彼の後を追うように大阪から帰ってきます。東京到着が２２時ぐらいなのでセーフなはずですが、電話で捕獲されるとＩ氏はＣＭの運転手役をおおせつかる可能性もあります。果たして結果やいかに？

Work on Assumption ... かな？ それで社員の進退や業績目標、プロセスの決定にまで至ってしまうと、やばいですよね。よくあるんですよ、まったくsanity checkもしないでコードをチェックインするやつ。。。 壊れちゃって大変！＞SWのビルドの場合

解説ありがとうございます（笑）。「仮定の仕事」ってやつですな。これは本当にたまりません。昔のＣＭが我々にどんな気持ちを抱いていたか分かりました（爆）。
